Sidney Kahn, a childhood family friend, surprised us tonight by stopping by.

He lives in St. Louis and was only in for a few days.

We were so happy to see him!

Ladybug week at school

This past week at school, we had Ladybug Week.

We read all kinds of books about ladybugs, including the favorite:

The Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carle.

We learned about the life cycle.

We made paper ladybugs.

We learned about the letter "L"

and lots more activites.

At the end of the week, we all dressed up as ladybugs. What a great week we had!

Snow in Houston

It wasn't much, not enough to stick to the ground, but all of houston was out in the snow late afternoon and evening, yesterday. As the song goes: Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow.
