Our new neighbor

Our new neighbor is an alligator living in the creek behind our house.
So now, of all times, Eddie decides he needs to cut the branches sticking out of the water.
The tree fell from our yard during Hurricane Ike.

Kidney Beans

God's Pharmacy continued...

Kidney Beans actually heal and help maintain kidney function.

And yes,
they look exactly like the human kidneys
.

Beans and Rice

Soak desired amount of beans in water overnight.
Remove any bad beans that are floating in the water.
The next morning, pour off the water and replace with fresh water.
Put in enough water to cover the beans.
Add onion, garlic, bay leaf, salt and pepper.
As the beans cook, they will absorb the water, so you will need to add more.
Cook until the beans are tender.
Serve the beans in the liquid for soup,or strain and serve over rice.

Grapes, God's pharmacy continued

God's Pharmacy continued...
Grapes hang in a cluster that has the shape of the heart.
Each grape looks like a blood cell.

All of the research today shows grapes are
profound heart and blood vitalizing food.

Grape Smoothie

1 cup grapes (frozen or fresh)
1 banana (frozen or fresh)
1/2 cup orange juice or almond milk

Blend and enjoy!

Tomatoes, God's Pharmacy continued...

A tomato has four chambers and is red...
The heart has four chambers and is red.
All of the research shows tomatoes are loaded with lycophine,
and are indeed, pure heart and blood food.

Tomato/Basil Soup

Puree 3 large tomatoes in the food processer or blender
Add 1 scallion, about 1/2 cup tomato juice*, handful of basil, salt and pepper.
Serve cold, for best nutritional value!!!!
* the tomato juice makes this recipe not raw, but it's still pretty close to being raw.
*********
If you want to make it into gazpacho,
add about 1/2 green pepper, (red and yellow will work, too), and a cucumber.
To serve: put some cut up veggies into the bowl and add the liquid.
Serve cold, as well.

God's pharmacy

God made and created what we needed before we were born.
He left us clues to what foods help what part of the body.

A sliced carrot looks like a human eye
And yes, science shows that carrots greatly enhance blood flow to and function to the eyes.
The pupil, the iris, and radiating lines look just like the human eye.

Carrot Raisen Salad

Shred 1pound of carrot
Mix with one large can of crushed pineapple in it's own juice
(or one fresh pineapple, chopped in processor)
Add about 1 cup raisens
Season with orange juice and honey for desired sweetness.
The longer it sits and marinates, the better.
